Family Group Conferencing Co-ordinator

Sheffield City Council is engaged in developing exciting new initiatives to improve lives of children and families and this is both an exciting and challenging opportunity for practitioners skilled and experienced in working with vulnerable families to join our established Edge of Care Service as part of the Family Group Conferencing Team.

The Family Group Conference (FGC) Team are seeking to a Family Group Conference Coordinator who will support families whose children are at risk of local authority accommodation, responding particularly to cases where the Local Authority is considering care proceedings as part of the Public Law Outline requirements and also working with those children identified to return home to ensure there are robust packages of support to ensure that this is successful.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the families.  This will involve some work outside of normal office hours and maybe require occasional weekend working where family members are in full time employment.

Driving licence and access to a car for business use is preferred.
