Business Support Officer

The role will include panel administration support within the Adoption and Fostering Team, facilitating, scheduling and recording of sensitive and confidential meetings, co-ordination of statutory information, maintaining records and dealing with a range of enquiries.  The successful post holder may also be asked to cover business support duties supporting other BMBC services at a range of sites across the borough from time to time including, but not limited to, other Children’s Social Care and Education Services.

There is also a requirement to support an early evening meeting on a limited basis, usually 2-3 times per year.  This meeting takes place in a town centre building and runs from 5-7pm.

You will need to hold a level 2 qualification, have a business support background with an understanding of servicing meetings.  Applicants should be aware that there will be regular exposure to emotionally charged information in connection with vulnerable children and a level of personal resilience is required.

You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.
