Job details:
An assistant product manager has responsibility for distinct product ranges marketed by the company. The role includes research, design, negotiation and communication with licensors and suppliers to successfully deliver a range of innovative and commercially sound products. The assistant product manager is responsible for the full development cycle, from concept and range architecture to a successful retail launch.
Role responsibilities
Assistant product managers are the champions of the products within their portfolio. They are responsible for the creative input, content research, product sourcing, supplier selection, packaging and for monitoring the progress through to eventual delivery of the product to the customer.

The role demands creative flair, positive attitude and an open-minded approach to drive new product development and give H&A a leading edge within the market.

The candidate should be numerically and commercially astute. The roles includes working to specific and challenging margin requirements.

Responsible for following internal procedures and processes to bring products to market. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is key to achieving efficient product launches.

Assistant product managers are responsible for monitoring the retail and competitor market, providing analysis on innovation and trends. Their insights and suggestions will be utilised to drive product development.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Skills & experience
Holds an interest in product development – able to demonstrate their creative approach via relevant A-Levels/degree/work-place experience.
Degree: Degree qualified. 2:1 and above.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Location: York
Salary: ca. £20,000 pa - experience will be considered
