Trainee Information Governance Officer - Northallerton
The Veritau group consists of two local authority controlled companies, Veritau and Veritau North Yorkshire. The group provides internal audit, counter fraud, risk management and information governance related services to a number of councils and other public sector clients in the Yorkshire area.

Salary £19,554 to £21,589 plus up to 3% performance related pay
Following the introduction of the new Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018, we are looking to further expand our team of information governance specialists. This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector.

The post will be based at our Northallerton office but will involve some travel.

Reporting to the Information Governance Manager you will assist in the delivery of high quality services to our clients and undertake training to become a public sector information governance specialist. The role includes providing advice on data protection matters, responding to information requests and completing ad-hoc project work.
You should also be outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated, be willing to work with others in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.
