Job details:
An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support Service in Barnsley Council as a Business Support Officer supporting and contributing towards the pilot roll out of the National Assessment and Accreditation System (NAAS) for child and family social workers. The successful candidate will provide technical support to aid the roll out and monitoring of the assessment programme, establishing business systems, co-ordination and analysis of programme information, production of progress reports and facilitating meetings.



The Business Support team is a committed and dedicated workforce supporting services across Barnsley Council in delivering an excellent customer experience. Working together with Children’s Social Care you will play a key role in facilitating the programme. If and when necessary you may be supporting other services within BMBC dependent upon their requirements.


You will hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent level qualification in a business related subject and have a commitment to progress to a Level 4 qualification as part of your continuous professional development.



The service processes a high volume of confidential and sensitive information that can be emotive in content for which a level of personal resilience is required.



You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £21,074 - £23,111 pro rata
