Trainee Auditors (IT) - York or Northallerton

The Veritau group consists of two local authority controlled companies, Veritau and Veritau North Yorkshire. The group provides internal audit, counter fraud, risk management and information governance related services to a number of councils and other public sector clients in the Yorkshire area.

This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector.

We are looking for trainee internal auditors who wish to specialise in IT related audit.
Role responsibilities
You will gain knowledge of information and IT systems security, disaster recovery and change management. You will undertake a training programme which will lead to membership of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and receive support to gain ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.
Person specification
You should also be outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated, be willing to work with others in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.

The post will be based at either our Northallerton or York office, and will involve some travel.
Skills & experience
Computing skills (software).
Good oral communication skills and excellent written English skills. Research, analysis and problem solving skills.
Degree: You should hold a good degree or have equivalent specialist knowledge in this field.
Location: York or Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Salary: Salary £18,672 - £21,074 plus up to 3% performance related pay
