RISE Sheffield City Region is a major city region-wide initiative to increase graduate employment in small and medium sized enterprises. The city region covers: Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Doncaster, North East Derbyshire, Rotherham and Sheffield. RISE SCR is a collaboration between city region partners, Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield and the private sector.

This is a great role for a graduate who is looking to get started in the world of sales, marketing and business development. You will work with publishers and PR companies in business to Business sales and account management working with publishers and PR companies. You’ll work alongside a confident and enthusiastic team, putting together competitions for some of the biggest names in the magazine-publishing world. If you’re enthusiastic and hardworking with the confidence to build relationships, this could be the perfect role for you to show off your skills and develop some new ones.

The business is DMRi, a forward-thinking technology problem-solver, who design websites and solutions for online publishing companies. DMRi specialises in creating innovative data collection tools, competition software and online marketing technical solutions for some really high-profile publications including Cosmopolitan, InStyle, House to Home and What’s On TV. What are all the practical details?
Starting salary: £16,000-£22,000pa + Uncapped commission. You will also receive Westfield Healthcare and additional benefits.
Location: 1st floor, 145a Bradfield road, Hillsborough, Sheffield, S6 2BY
Start date: November/December 2018
Length of role: 6 months, with a view to securing a permanent post subject to performance

What would you be doing?
The role will mainly involve speaking to PR companies and Brands to source suitable prizes for different publications. You will be responsible for selecting the brands, contacting the relevant people and ensuring all the copy, images etc. are in place for the latest competitions. Typical activities might include:
• Making new contacts on the phone and building the relationships with new people
• Researching brands, building knowledge on client markets and implementing this knowledge into your work
• Promoting the business when speaking to clients
• Checking wording and images for competitions
What type of person are they looking for?
The ideal candidate will be a creative and hardworking individual with a love of Marketing and sales. You might have studied Marketing or Business discipline but this doesn’t have to be the case, as long as you can demonstrate that it is an area you want to work in. The successful person for the role will:
• Be a graduate of any degree discipline
• Have a real passion seeing things through form start to finish
• Be confident speaking to people on the phone and face to face.
• Be an effective problem-solver with a flair for innovation
• Be conscientious with a keen eye for detail
