We are looking for Operating Department Practitioners and Registered Nurses to join our friendly and professional team within our main theatres department. As a member of the scrub team you will be well supported by a Band 7 Speciality Lead, X2 Band 6 Specialist Practitioner, a team of Band 5 Operating Department Practitioners and Nurses, a team of Assistant Theatre Practitioners and a team of Support Workers to deliver exceptional patient care.

We are an enthusiastic, passionate and caring team providing expert care in both an elective and acute surgical setting. We provide a 24/7 service with a wide range of shifts available so we are able to offer flexibility in the way staff work. There are also opportunities for staff to earn extra money through the bank and overtime scheme.

We have a Band 7 Professional Development Facilitator who will provide educational opportunities to support your career development. We will provide a supportive learning environment, a period of supernumerary time to achieve competencies and offer both professional and leadership development.

We will support you in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to scrub for a range of cases across the specialties.

All new starters in theatres will qualify for the trusts retention scheme payments, subject to terms and conditions, for Band 5 registered staff and these are detailed below:

After 1 year completed service: £500

After 2 years of completed service: £1000
