Job details:
Do you have creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense? Are you proactive, ambitious and funny?

We’re looking for a Digital Graphic Designer to work with our existing brand assets to create impactful digital designs to use across our website, email marketing, social and affiliate channels.

This position will form a crucial part of our small but perfectly formed Marketing Team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager and Marketing & Social Media Executive to handle all the day-to-day design requirements of a busy marketing department.

Role responsibilities
Your tasks will include, but won't be limited to:

Working with our brand assets for both Monster and Waitrose Pet to create strong, characterful digital and print content

Taking a brief for various digital design requirements - e.g. banners, landing pages, mailer templates and mailer assets

Taking a brief for branded corporate decks for supplier presentations etc

Taking a brief for print design requirements – e.g. leaflets, packaging and corporate stationary.

Estimating the time the project will take, presenting your concepts to the team, amending designs based on team feedback, working efficiently to tight deadlines.

A strong visual flair and a forensic eye for detail!

A smart, upbeat and friendly personality

A great sense of humour! Essential.

Dog-botherer or cat lover? We’re passionate about pets at Monster and this role requires the successful candidate to spend a lot of time assessing the attributes of pet photography. V helpful if you like them!
Skills & experience
A love of colour, typography and layout. We need you to have good, creative art-working skills.

You must excel in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, Aftereffects, InDesign.

An understanding of front-end technologies would be helpful; you’ll work closely with our development teams to execute our on-site environment.

We create a lot of marketing emails – prior experience of this communication channel would be very well received

50% of our sales come from mobile devices and our website is fully responsive. All designs need to be created with mobile in mind.

Strong communication skills and an understanding of the importance of managing great professional relationships
Degree: A relevant degree-level qualification

Ideally one year's experience in a similar role.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 Dependent on experience
