York based company MyKnowledgeMap are the UK's leading provider of virtual academy systems and customisable courses such as e-learning, online skills management systems, skills diagnostics and e-portfolios. They currently employ 35 people, the majority of whom are graduates.
Mike Moran, Operations Director at MyKnowledgeMap, explains that the company has always had a policy of recruiting the best graduate talent as he believes graduates bring to the business energy, humour, teamwork and most of all, change.
“The service Yorkshire Graduates offers is excellent,” says Mike who has advertised more than 30 vacancies through Yorkshire Graduates. “I particularly like the fact that there is a ‘human side’ behind the website service.”
Graduates are taken on in a number of roles within the company and are often given responsibility quite early with the possibility of rapid career progression, a number of whom have already progressed to director level.

Ruth is the Editor at MyKnowledgeMap and graduated in philosophy from Newcastle University.
Ruth has been working for MyKnowledgeMap for the last year and is enjoying being able to make full use of the English writing skills that she developed at University.
Before starting at MyKnowledgeMap she kept a close eye on the Yorkshire Graduates website as it was a great way to keep up to date with all the latest graduate job opportunities in the region.

Helen is the office manager at MyKnowledgeMap and graduated from Leeds in Business Management.
Helen has been working at MyKnowledgeMap for 18 months and really appreciates the fact that she has been given responsibility so early in her career as it has really helped her to develop her skills.
