C3RI at the University is seeking to appoint a post graduate for an Enhanced Mentored Associate position in collaboration with Mayflower Engineering Ltd of Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to participate in an exciting venture concerned with supporting the company's growth through the embedding of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System. This will involve re-engineering the existing system by designing a new database, developing a new user interface and designing associated procedures.

Mayflower Engineering supply full turn-key engineering solutions to the steel, mining, oil & gas and rail industries worldwide with knowledge-based design, project management and specialist fabrication expertise. You should be educated to degree level at 2(i) level or above, in computing or a related subject.

You should be self-motivated, with a logical and analytical approach to your work and have the ability to disseminate information effectively through both written and verbal communications. Experience of software project management and the design and development of a new system will be desirable.

If appointed, you will be based at the company offices working directly with the Managing Director and Financial Director, receiving additional mentoring support from University staff.

The Enhanced Mentored Associate role offers opportunities for extensive personal development and represents a unique opportunity to work with the Cultural, Communication & Computing Research Institute and see the real world application of knowledge.

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 per annum dependent on experience (fixed term for 15 months)
