As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will assist our client to achieve market-leading status by helping to deliver tech that improves the student experience.
Specifically, your role will focus on the technical side of frontend development. You’ll develop presentation and demonstration features for our client’s corporate website and trial sites, as well as maintaining, improving and extending the functionality behind the user interface for a world-leading product using a range of technologies and languages.
While the role does not require a deep understanding of any particular language or framework (as training will be provided), a solid competence in basic programming principals is required
Learning about new concepts, technologies and systems
Getting involved with the testing process to support new product releases
Some element of user interface design and testing
Developing an understanding of our client’s user base and tailoring solutions to provide an awesome user experience
Previous experience of basic website development principals
An understanding of modern, responsive website design, including HTML5, CSS and/or SCSS
At least one example of a previous project involving a user interface and some backend, server-side component
